Bengaluru: Slikk, the Gen Z-focused quick commerce platform transforming fashion and lifestyle shopping, has announced the appointment of Sachin Kataria as Head of Beauty and Personal Care (BPC). The move signals Slikk’s strategic expansion into the high-growth beauty and wellness category, building on its success in delivering curated fashion and accessories within 60 minutes across select zones in Bengaluru.
Founded in 2024 by Akshay Gulati, Om Prakash Swami, and Bipin Singh, Slikk has rapidly gained traction for its ultra-fast delivery model and trend-first product curation. With Sachin’s entry, the company is poised to deepen its consumer offering and create a full-stack beauty experience tailored for Gen Z and millennial shoppers.
A consumer business veteran with over 17 years of experience, Sachin brings a proven track record of building and scaling brands across beauty, personal care, and wellness. His most recent role as Vice President at Nykaa saw him lead private-label strategy, drive category expansion, and strengthen customer engagement. Known for driving multiple 0-to-1-to-10 growth journeys, Sachin has held key roles across product development, marketing, and omnichannel retail.
“Sachin’s depth of experience in building and scaling consumer businesses makes him the ideal leader to build our beauty and personal care vertical. His deep expertise in the beauty and personal care category, paired with the rigor to build a 0 to 1 journey from the ground up, will empower us to rapidly scale our beauty, daily self-care, and wellness offerings,” said Akshay Gulati, Co-founder of Slikk. “This is a key milestone in accelerating our vision to become India’s fastest and most reliable quick-commerce fashion and lifestyle marketplace.”
As part of the Founder’s Office, Sachin will lead the go-to-market and expansion strategy for the BPC vertical. His mandate includes crafting a high-impact assortment across skincare, makeup, haircare, wellness, and emerging indie labels, forging partnerships with legacy brands and D2C innovators, and collaborating across tech, product, and operations to create a fast and seamless customer journey. A core focus will be laying down scalable systems to power the company’s next phase of growth.
“I’ve always believed that beauty is deeply personal—but it’s also rapidly evolving. Slikk’s model offers a unique opportunity to reimagine how beauty can be discovered, experienced, and delivered,” said Sachin Kataria. “I’m excited to build this vertical from the ground up, collaborate with the most exciting brands, and deliver value to consumers in a way that’s fast, fun, and culturally relevant.”
This appointment follows Slikk’s recent $10 million Series A round, led by Nexus Venture Partners, with continued backing from Lightspeed, underscoring the company’s ambitious plans to build a differentiated, high-speed lifestyle commerce ecosystem.
