Sony BBC Earth set to launch its new fascinating series, ‘The Green Planet’

Sony BBC Earth is all set to bring forth a fascinating series, ‘The Green Planet’ that will take viewers on a thrill ride of new and exciting discoveries in the plant kingdom. Adding to its Planet Earth series, the show will be presented by none other than the renowned biologist, natural historian, and broadcaster, Sir David Attenborough, who will add a fresh perspective on how plants live, grow, and thrive. This 5-episode series will premiere on Sony BBC Earth on 11th April at 9 pm.

Using advanced filmmaking technology and the latest science, the spectacular series offers a deep insight into the secret, unexplored lives of plants, their evolution, and how they behave and interact. Each episode introduces a set of plants from deserts, tropical jungles, and underwater worlds to seasonal lands and our urban environment, enlightening viewers on how they hunt, forge intimate relationships, deceive, communicate, act as caregivers, and fight for survival. Thermal and ultra-high-speed cameras, macro frame-stacking, and the latest developments in microscopy lend the show its visual brilliance, allowing the viewers to relish the incredible beauty of the flora world.

Produced by Rupert Barrington, this show marks another step towards Sony BBC Earth’s vision of entertaining and inspiring its viewers through insightful storytelling and path breaking content. The channel recently reached its 5-year milestone and is all set to strengthen its brand in the country’s infotainment sector and continue to add meaning to people’s lives.
