Mumbai: Godrej Agrovet Limited (GAVL) has announced the appointment of Sunil Kataria as its Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director-Designate. Kataria will take over the reins from Balram Singh Yadav, who has been re-appointed as the Managing Director of the company until August 31, 2025.
Kataria, a seasoned business leader with over 30 years of experience across consumer packaged goods (CPG), telecom, and retail, will officially assume the role of CEO & Managing Director from September 1, 2025, for a five-year term, subject to shareholder approval. His appointment as CEO & MD-Designate will be effective from May 5, 2025.
Prior to this, Kataria served as the Managing Director of Raymond Lifestyle Limited and was previously the CEO of India & SAARC for Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL). His extensive leadership experience and strategic vision are expected to drive the next phase of growth for GAVL.
Balram Singh Yadav, who has been with the Godrej Group since 1990, will continue to serve as Managing Director until his tenure concludes on August 31, 2025.
This leadership transition marks a significant milestone for Godrej Agrovet as it continues to expand its presence in the agribusiness sector.
