Bengaluru : Kannada audience are known for their interest towards Crime shows and it is evident from the massive success of Crime shows like ”Crime Diary” which was aired on ETV Kannada couple of years before that made Udaya TV to follow the suit with ”Crime Story” which also happened to be a hit. But the mushrooming of many news channels have taken away the Crime shows from GEC to infotainment genre. However, there is an efforts from Suvarna to bring it back in to GEC segment.
Star India’s Kannada general entertainment channel Suvarna is launching a new crime based show ”Nirbhaya” from 15th February 2015 @ 10pm.
The show aims to create awareness and make people prepared about the crime being committed in their neighborhood and also it aims to feature crime story can happen to anyone anywhere and how one can save herself from the growing menace.
Similar to Hindi Crime shows like Crime patrol and Savdhan India, Nirbhaya is also likely to visualize the most popular crimes happening in Bangalore and rest of Karnataka with re-constructed crime scenes with a thrilling narration by the show host.
The show is keen to cover the topics on rape , kidnapping, dowry death, molestation, acid attacks, cruelty by husband, sexual harassment, eve teasing etc.
Nirbhaya will be launched on February 15th 2015 Sunday at 10 pm. the show will be hosted by actor adi lokesh.
