Mumbai: The Trade Desk has announced a key leadership expansion in the Asia-Pacific region, with Tejinder Gill taking on an expanded role as Vice President for Southeast Asia and India. As part of this transition, Gill will relocate to Singapore to lead the company’s next phase of growth from a central regional hub.
The move comes as The Trade Desk sharpens its focus on high-growth markets across APAC, particularly Southeast Asia and India, which continue to emerge as significant opportunities in the global digital advertising ecosystem.
Gill, who has been associated with the company for over six years, steps into the expanded remit with a strong track record of driving market development, fostering partnerships, and scaling operations. His leadership is expected to play a pivotal role in unlocking growth potential across these dynamic markets.

Sharing the news, Mitch Waters, SVP – APAC, The Trade Desk wrote, “Tej and I have worked together for over six years, and in that time he’s not only been an outstanding partner, he’s also become a great friend. It’s been a truly amazing journey. His passion for changing markets, challenging assumptions and pushing the boundaries of what we can do is infectious. He brings an energy that creates belief and momentum wherever he goes. South East Asia and India represent some of the most exciting growth opportunities anywhere in the world.
The potential in these markets is enormous, and Tej’s ambition, curiosity and conviction make him exactly the right leader to unlock it. With Tej leading South East Asia and India, and Sonal P. stepping into her expanded role as VP of Client Services across APAC, we have a leadership combination that gives me enormous confidence in what comes next.
Strong partnership, complementary strengths, and a shared drive to build something meaningful. Excited for this next phase, and proud to be on the journey with both of them.”
In parallel, Sonal P. has taken on an expanded role as Vice President of Client Services across APAC, strengthening the company’s regional leadership structure and reinforcing its commitment to delivering enhanced client outcomes.
The dual leadership appointments underscore The Trade Desk’s strategic focus on building a robust, future-ready organisation in APAC, combining market expertise, operational strength, and client-centric innovation to capitalise on the region’s accelerating digital transformation.
As Southeast Asia and India continue to witness rapid growth in digital advertising adoption, data-driven marketing, and programmatic innovation, The Trade Desk is positioning itself to deepen its presence and partnerships across these markets, supported by a strengthened leadership team.
