Chennai : Vikatan Media has appointed S Prabhakar as National Sales Head for its TV Ad Sales division that handles the Airtime selling for the Programs produced by Vikatan Televistas for Sun TV. He joined in place of B Balamurugan who left the company couple of months before.
Presently, Vikatan Televistas is producing three top rated Primetime shows Deivamagal @ 8:00 PM, Priyamanavale @ 9:00 PM and EMI @ 10:30 PM, which are being aired on Sun TV during the weekdays.
Prabhakar will be reporting to the Managing Director of the Company, Mr B Srinivasan and he will be playing important role in maximizing the revenues for the premium slots held by Vikatan Group.
As a National Sales Head, he will be handling all the major Markets like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and other Regional pockets. Viktan Media’s Sales team located all over the major markets in India will be reporting to him and he got in to action from 18th April onwards. It seems the Media group is also planning to expand the sales team with additional human resources in the near future.
Prabhakar is an MBA graduate from IIPM – Chennai and prior to Vikatan assignment he was working with Sun TV Network for more than 8 years, handling Sales for its Kannada Non GEC Channels namely Udaya Music and Udaya Comedy.
It may be noted that Deivamagal (913 episodes) and Priyamanavale (389 Episodes)are the top rated fiction shows on Sun TV and delivered an average of 19.63 TVR and 17.16 TVR respectively in week 15.
