In a poignant moment for both the airline industry and the world of sonic branding, Vistara, India’s premium airline, bids farewell as it takes its final flight. For BrandMusiq, the renowned sonic branding agency, this marks the end of an era that began with an iconic collaboration that not only defined Vistara’s brand identity but also helped catapult BrandMusiq to prominence.

The airline’s signature “Ta Ra Ra Ra” tune, composed by BrandMusiq, became a defining part of Vistara’s brand, evoking the elegance and sophistication that characterized the airline’s service. As Vistara ceases operations, the unforgettable sonic identity crafted by BrandMusiq will remain a lasting legacy.

Speaking on this bittersweet moment, Rajeev Raja, Founder and Soundsmith at BrandMusiq, reflected, “Every time I hear it, I still get goosebumps – a feeling that will never fade. Sadly, this beautiful sound will no longer be heard onboard Vistara flights, marking the end of an era. But for us, it will always hold a special place in our hearts.”

Raja also fondly recalled BrandMusiq’s journey with Vistara, which began when the airline, then a nascent brand, became their very first client. Vistara’s trust in BrandMusiq to create its sonic identity was pivotal in the agency’s success. He recalled a landmark moment when the team presented to Vistara’s leadership, including senior executives from both the Tata Group and Singapore Airlines, at the Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai. “After just 15 minutes, we received a standing ovation,” Raja said, highlighting how the moment became a turning point for BrandMusiq, propelling them to the forefront of the sonic branding industry.

The partnership between Vistara and BrandMusiq is considered one of the most successful examples of sonic branding, as the “Ta Ra Ra Ra” sound became synonymous with the airline, evoking feelings of comfort, luxury, and trust. The sound will forever be associated with Vistara’s legacy of excellence, innovation, and premium service.

As the airline’s final flight departs, BrandMusiq is honoring the brand’s legacy with a special sonic tribute, inviting listeners to experience the iconic sound one last time. The tribute can be heard on BrandMusiq’s official YouTube channel, where fans and listeners are encouraged to take a moment to relive the unforgettable journey that Vistara and BrandMusiq embarked on together.
