WinZO goes global with U.S. debut and short video rollout

New Delhi: WinZO, India’s largest homegrown digital entertainment platform, has announced its official launch in the United States, marking a decisive milestone in its mission to export Indian technology, gaming innovation, intellectual property, and talent to global audiences.

The U.S. debut follows WinZO’s successful foray into Brazil in 2023, placing the company at the intersection of three of the world’s four largest mobile gaming markets—India, Brazil, and the U.S.—with a combined market size of USD 65–70 billion and more than 20 billion annual mobile game downloads.

From leading the world’s largest market by user base (India) to entering the world’s largest gaming market by revenue (U.S.), WinZO is spearheading what it calls Tech Exports 2.0. With India currently accounting for only 1% of the global gaming market, the company’s international expansion aims to provide Indian game developers a gateway into one of the most mature and lucrative ecosystems through WinZO’s plug-and-launch distribution model.

WinZO’s global competitiveness is built on its ecosystem of 250 million users, engaging with over 100 competitive games across esports and social formats in 15 languages. Its innovation pipeline includes 100+ proprietary technology patents, such as its Live Streaming Technology, Real-Time Game Engine, GenAI-powered vernacular companion, one-click game integration, and AI-driven cybersecurity solutions. Additionally, the company’s $50 million ZO Fund supports early-stage technology ventures, scaling Indian innovation while enabling cross-border exchange of culture, talent, and IP across India, Brazil, and the U.S.

The U.S. expansion forms part of WinZO’s broader strategy to evolve as a global go-to consumer tech platform for new-age content consumption. Following format and monetization diversification, the company is now accelerating geographical expansion. With its deep bench strength in technology, IP patents, strategic investments, and frontier-tech experience, WinZO aims to scale product offerings and features worldwide while continuing to serve its Indian audience responsibly amid regulatory changes.
