Mumbai: As anticipation builds around the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, YouTube and the International Cricket Council (ICC) are expanding the fan experience beyond match days, offering cricket audiences deeper access to the tournament through live content, highlights, Shorts, and enhanced discovery features.
Positioning itself as a destination for sports fandom that extends before and after live play, YouTube said the initiative is aimed at bringing fans closer to the tournament through multiple content formats and personalised viewing experiences.
According to platform insights, 89% of Indian viewers agree that YouTube offers top sports content, reinforcing its growing role as a destination for sports communities and engagement.
The partnership has already commenced with the ICC launching a first-of-its-kind ICC Captains’ Carnival from London on its official YouTube channel, alongside livestreaming all warm-up matches on YouTube for the first time.
As the tournament progresses, fans will gain access to a range of experiences designed to increase accessibility and engagement.
Among the offerings are official match highlights tailored to different viewing preferences, allowing audiences to choose between quick recap clips or more detailed match coverage available in both English and Hindi.
The platform will also deliver under-30-second YouTube Shorts, capturing key moments and high-intensity match action in near real time.
Additionally, YouTube has introduced a dedicated tournament hub, designed to improve discoverability. Users searching for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 on YouTube will be directed to a centralised experience featuring highlights, analysis, and curated tournament content.
