Read moreHyderabad: In a strategic move aimed at strengthening its regional content leadership, Z5 (formerly ZEE5) has elevated Lloyd Xavier to the dual role of Business Head for Tamil and Malayalam and Senior Vice President – South Marketing.
Lloyd, who joined Z5 as Marketing Director in September 2021, has played a pivotal role in spearheading marketing initiatives across South Indian markets. In April 2023, he was elevated to Vice President – Marketing, a development he announced via LinkedIn.
In his latest update, Lloyd expressed his excitement and gratitude: “I’m humbled and thrilled to share that I’ve been promoted to Senior Vice President – Marketing and also entrusted with the additional responsibility of Business Head – Tamil & Malayalam at ZEE5.”
During his tenure, Lloyd has led the marketing for over 100 titles, contributing to the platform’s growing popularity across the southern states. His portfolio includes blockbuster titles such as RRR, HanuMan, and Vikkatakavi in Telugu; Vikrant Rona, Max, and Ayyana Maane in Kannada; Ayali, Koose Munisamy Veerappan, Aayindham Vedham, and Vikram in Tamil; and Identity and MTV Nair Sir Manorathangal in Malayalam.
Reflecting on his journey, he noted, “To everyone who’s been part of this journey, thank you for the trust, banter, challenges, and unwavering support. Let’s continue creating magic on-screen and off. Here’s to more stories, smarter strategies, and a few more cups of strong filter coffee!”
Before joining ZEE5, Xavier was AVP – Marketing at Arha Media and Broadcasting from December 2019 to August 2021. He has also held marketing roles at YuppTV Inc. and Network18 Media & Investments. He began his professional journey as an Analyst at Deloitte in 2010.
Lloyd’s elevation reflects ZEE5’s ongoing commitment to deepening its engagement with regional audiences and scaling up its content-driven strategy in the South Indian OTT landscape.
