Mumbai: Strengthening its commitment to contemporary and emotionally resonant storytelling, Zee TV has announced the launch of its latest fiction series, Tumm Se Tumm Tak, a bold new offering that challenges societal norms and redefines modern-day relationships. The show is set to premiere on July 7, 2025, and will air daily at 8:30 PM.
Produced by Studio LSD Pvt. Ltd., Tumm Se Tumm Tak is an adaptation of Zee Kannada’s popular series Jothe Jothiyali and marks a significant addition to Zee TV’s refreshed content lineup under its new brand philosophy, Aapka Apna ZEE TV. The show tells the poignant love story of Anu, a 19-year-old middle-class girl, and Aryavardhan, a 46-year-old self-made business tycoon—an age-gap relationship that defies societal expectations of love, class, and compatibility.

Speaking on the launch, Mangesh Kulkarni, Chief Channel Officer, Zee TV, said: “Tumm Se Tumm Tak brings a fresh storytelling lens to our fiction lineup—emotive, rooted, yet distinct in its narrative style. This show stands out for its nuanced portrayal of connection and companionship. Under the promise of Aapka Apna Zee TV, we’re committed to building a content ecosystem that reflects the evolving aspirations and realities of our viewers.”
Veteran actor Sharad Kelkar headlines the show as Aryavardhan, a wealthy but grounded businessman who values trust and relationships over wealth, while Niharika Chouksey plays Anu, a spirited and sincere young woman determined to uplift her family’s future. The on-screen pairing explores not only romantic chemistry but also the deeper emotional foundation of trust and mutual respect.

Raghavendra Hunsur, Chief Content Officer, Z, emphasized the thematic depth of the narrative, stating: “As content creators, we’re drawn to stories that reflect the quiet complexities of human relationships. Tumm Se Tumm Tak is not just a love story—it’s a deeply introspective journey of two individuals from vastly different worlds. This show exemplifies the kind of emotionally layered storytelling we aim to champion.”
The show’s launch event was equally heartfelt, celebrating love in its many forms. Attendees shared personal stories of love that defied convention, followed by a romantic music video and the premiere of the show’s audiovisual trailer, giving audiences a glimpse into the emotionally rich narrative.
Prateek Sharma, Producer and Founder of Studio LSD, shared his excitement: “Our partnership with Zee TV is rooted in shared storytelling values. With Tumm Se Tumm Tak, we’re bringing to life a concept that’s both sensitive and socially relevant. From casting to location, every choice was made to enhance the authenticity and emotional connect of this story.”
Filmed in Delhi, the show blends metropolitan realism with traditional values, aiming to resonate with a broad cross-section of Indian viewers navigating evolving definitions of relationships and love.
With Tumm Se Tumm Tak, Zee TV is not just introducing another fiction series—it’s taking a calculated creative leap that reflects the changing emotional landscape of Indian society. As the show unfolds, it will explore the trials, dilemmas, and triumphs of an unconventional love story in the face of societal resistance.
