Ad volumes surge by 5.7 times on Radio in May’22: TAM Report

According to TAM AdEx-Report on Radio for May’22 compared to May’21-20, overall ad volumes increased seven times during May’22 compared to May’20 and 5.7 times compared to May’21. Ad volumes on Radio climbed up in all weeks of May’22 compared to the same weeks in May’21, with the highest growth of six times occurring in week 3 of May’22.

Tally of Categories grew by 51 pc and Advertisers and Brands three times respectively during May’22 compared to May’20.

In the Top 10 categories on Radio, Properties/Real Estates jumped to the top position in May’22 compared to 2nd position in May’21. Face wash was the new entrant in the chart in May’22. Top 10 categories on Radio added 51 pc share of ad volumes in May’22.

The Top growing categories on Radio showed Properties/Real Estates at the top with highest surge in ad volumes growth of 12 Times followed by Retail Outlets-Jewellers with 35 Times growth during May’22 compared to May’21. There were 125+ growing categories present in May’22 compared to May’21 on Radio.

Among the Top 10 advertisers on Radio, Vicco Laboratories was on the top with share of ad volumes of 4 pc. Top 10 advertisers added 17 pc share of ad volumes. Six out of Top 10 advertisers in the list were new entrants during May’22.

Among the Top 10 Brands on Radio, Vicco Turmeric Face Wash was the top brand during May’22 followed by The Kunba. During May’22, total 2.4K+ brands were present on Radio.

In the Top 10 new Categories, Advertisers and Brands,105+ new categories, 1.8 K+ new advertisers and 2.1 K+ new brands advertised on Radio during May’22 compared to May’21. Face wash topped among the new category followed by Government Universities/Colleges. Vicco Laboratories was the top new advertiser followed by Kedia Real Estate. In the Brands, Vicco Turmeric Face Wash topped followed by The Kunba
