India: BharatBox, a metaverse venture in India created by The Sandbox and Brinc, has announced a key partnership with Dimo Studios, known for its innovative work in the Web3 IP space. This collaboration aims to enhance how brands, celebrities, and sports personalities connect with their audiences, while also creating new revenue opportunities both in India and globally.

India has become the largest source of content creators for The Sandbox, with over 66,000 developers contributing to the platform, surpassing the U.S. and Brazil. BharatBox plans to reach 1 million users in India within two years, with successful expansions into the entertainment, web3, and gaming sectors.

Dimo Studios manages more than 20 intellectual properties (IPs) and is focused on growing its portfolio. The partnership will leverage BharatBox’s local market expertise and Dimo Studio’s technological strengths to introduce select IPs, creating a synergistic effect.

The concept of the metaverse, which has evolved from science fiction to a viable opportunity, now features user-generated, 3D multiplayer environments that have become cultural phenomena. The pandemic has accelerated the shift to these digital realms, transforming how we interact with technology.

Karan Keswani, CEO of BharatBox, emphasized the importance of this partnership: “Our collaboration with Dimo Studios will harness the momentum of the metaverse, integrating Web3 to create richer experiences for brands and their audiences.”

The metaverse landscape has rapidly advanced since 2021, driven by AI, improved graphics, XR devices, and the ongoing evolution of blockchain technologies. This indicates that the metaverse is not a passing trend, but a significant evolution of the Internet, poised to redefine how we live, work, and play. Despite some skepticism, interest in the metaverse remains strong, as evidenced by a rise in related filings with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

Dimo Studio’s Co-founder and CEO, Bhavesh Thakkar, remarked, “The metaverse is the next iteration of the Internet—an immersive, interactive 3D space. Our partnership with BharatBox positions us at the forefront of this transformation, ready to lead brands into this new digital frontier.”

By merging BharatBox’s market expertise with Dimo Studio’s technological innovation, the partnership aims to deliver comprehensive Web3 solutions. This includes developing NFTs, metaverse experiences, and digital gaming rights, all designed to enhance brand engagement and unlock new revenue streams.

Both BharatBox and Dimo are dedicated to pushing the limits of digital engagement, focusing on continuous innovation to shape the future of this evolving landscape.
