Kolkata: Kelvinator India has rolled out a disruptive 3D out-of-home (OOH) campaign titled ‘Summer Paused’, leveraging high-impact outdoor innovation to bring its cooling proposition to life during the peak summer season.
Launched in Kolkata, the larger-than-life installation transforms a conventional billboard into an immersive visual experience. The campaign will soon expand to Ahmedabad and Mangalore, targeting key markets where demand for air conditioners intensifies during the summer months.
The creative execution features a striking 3D visual of a frost-covered figure climbing into a billboard overtaken by icy elements. At the centre of the installation is a Kelvinator split air conditioner, depicted as cooling the space so effectively that a snowman relaxes comfortably indoors. Icicles extend beyond the billboard frame, creating a seamless blend between the installation and the real world. The headline “Summer Paused” is supported by the sub-message “Heavy Duty Cooling,” reinforcing the brand’s performance promise.
The campaign adopts a strategic media approach by utilising premium OOH formats across climatically significant regions. By extending elements beyond the frame, the installation reimagines traditional outdoor advertising into an experiential medium designed to capture attention in a cluttered seasonal category.
In addition to physical visibility, the campaign is designed for digital amplification, encouraging commuters to engage with the installation and share content on social media, thereby driving organic reach alongside on-ground impact.
The initiative aligns with Kelvinator’s brand positioning, “For the Coolest One,” aimed at aspiration-driven consumers seeking a blend of performance and style.
