Delhi: Spice Money, India’s rural fintech platform, has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Nitin Sachdeva as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and the elevation of Rohit Sood to Chief Business Officer (CBO), as the company accelerates its next phase of growth and deepens its financial inclusion agenda across Bharat.
The leadership changes come at a strategic juncture for the company as it continues expanding its digital and assisted financial services ecosystem through its network of entrepreneurs and partners across rural and semi-urban India.
Rohit Sood has been elevated to Chief Business Officer after leading the company’s digital growth, customer engagement and business acceleration initiatives over the past year. Bringing over two decades of experience across retail, commerce, fintech and digital businesses, Sood has built and scaled large offline, online and phygital business ecosystems.
Over the course of his career, he has held leadership roles across organisations including JioMart, Paytm, Otipy, Snapdeal, PepperTap, SPAR, Carrefour and Jubilant Retail. He has led businesses from inception to national scale, managed large P&Ls and developed operating models spanning physical distribution, digital commerce and omnichannel ecosystems.
In his expanded role, Sood will lead Spice Money’s business strategy and growth agenda across core business verticals, focusing on deeper network engagement, stronger partner ecosystems and innovative financial solutions tailored for Bharat.
Joining the leadership team as CHRO, Nitin Sachdeva brings more than 17 years of experience across fintech, consumer durables, media and technology sectors. He has built expertise in culture transformation, leadership development and organisational effectiveness across high-growth enterprises.
Before joining Spice Money, Sachdeva held leadership roles at BharatPe, Philips, Preethi, Network18 and Infosys, where he led talent transformation, organisational design, leadership capability building and workforce planning initiatives.
At Spice Money, he will oversee the company’s people and culture strategy, with a focus on leadership development, organisational capability, talent management and building a future-ready workforce.
