BARC Week 42: Udaya TV soars to No. 3 position in Kannada GEC market

BARC Week 30: Udaya TV soars to No. 3 position in Kannada GEC market

BARC India released its Week 42 data for South GEC markets including Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and Malayalam. The positions in the top five list changed for Kannada GEC market.

Tamil (Tamil Nadu/Pondicherry)

In the Tamil speaking market, the positions in the chart remained same compared to last week. Sun TV continued its lead with 2132.42 (000) AMA followed by Star Vijay with 1399.33 (000) AMA at 2nd spot and Zee Tamil at 3rd spot with 904.05 (000) AMA. KTV retained its 4th spot with 610.38 (000) AMA followed by Star Vijay Super with 350.65 (000) AMA at 5th spot.

Kannada (Karnataka)

In the Kannada speaking market, Zee Kannada continued its lead with 1408.73 (000) AMA followed by Colors Kannada with 829.63 (000) AMA at 2nd spot. Udaya TV moved one spot up and claimed the 3rd position with 500.36 (000) AMA. Star Suvarna slipped one spot down and stood at 4th position with 466.56 (000) AMA. Udaya Movies retained its 5th spot with 337.25 (000) AMA.

Malayalam (Kerala)

Among the Malayalam speaking market, the positions in the chart remained same compared to last week. Asianet continued its lead with 838.23 (000) AMA followed by Flowers TV at 2nd spot with 195.14 (000) AMA and Mazhavil Manorama at 3rd spot with 161.29 (000) AMA. Zee Keralam retained its 4th spot with 149.74 (000) AMA followed by Surya TV with 140.68 (000) AMA at 5th spot.

Telugu (Andhra Pradesh/Telangana)

In the Telugu speaking market, the positions in the chart remained same compared to last week. Star Maa continued its lead with 2083.05 (000) AMA followed by Zee Telugu at 2nd spot with 1375.54 (000) AMA and ETV Telugu with 960.08 (000) AMA at 3rd spot. Gemini TV retained its 4th spot with 601.4 (000) AMA followed by Gemini Movies at 5th spot with 588.92 (000) AMA.
