New York Festivals® International Radio Program Awards, honouringthe World’s Best Radio Programs℠, announced this year’s award-winning programs at the annual Radio Awards Gala at New York City’s Manhattan Penthouse on Sunday.
The Grand Jury selected 2017’s award-winners entries submitted 32 countries.
Indian entries with 30 citations were the top Asian winners, followed by South Korea with nine, Hong Kong with four and Afghanistan with one award.
Among Indian stations, Reliance Broadcast Network Limited’s Big FM had seven Finalist Certificates and two Silver awards.
Radio Mirchi took home three Finalist Certificates, one Gold and one Silver award in the Audio Books category.
DB Corp’s MY FM won three Finalist Certificates and one Bronze award.
Red FM had four Finalists, HT Media – which Runs Fever 104 FM – won a Silver award and a Finalist Certificate, Radio City won a Bronze and a Finalist Certificate, Radio Mango also won a Bronze and a Finalist Certificate and Club FM won a Silver.
