New Delhi: The grand finale of Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa Season 2 drew 18.40 million unique viewers on Netflix during its finale window from August 5 to August 6, 2026, according to viewership data released by Chrome DM COTT, India’s OTT audience measurement platform.

The season finale, which streamed on August 5, marked the culmination of the six-week run of the reality franchise that began on June 27. Hosted by Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh and produced by Balaji Telefilms, the season ended with digital creator Shreya Kalra emerging as the winner.

Kalra clinched the ₹1 crore prize after edging out television actor Shivangi Joshi by just seven votes, making it one of the closest finishes in the franchise’s history. Yogesh Rawat finished third, while television veterans Ram Kapoor and Shilpa Shinde were also among the top five finalists.

The finale audience skewed female, with women accounting for 10.74 million, or 58% of the total viewership, while male viewers contributed 7.66 million, or 42%.

The demographic profile also highlighted the show’s strong appeal among younger audiences. Female viewers aged 18–24 formed the largest individual audience segment at 4.83 million, followed by male viewers aged 18–24 at 3.74 million and female viewers aged 25–35 at 3.54 million. Male viewers in the 25–35 age group contributed 2.84 million.

Viewership among audiences aged 18–35 accounted for the bulk of the finale’s reach across both genders, while the 35+ cohorts recorded comparatively lower numbers, with 0.92 million female viewers and 0.33 million male viewers.

Maharashtra Leads State-Wise Viewership

Maharashtra emerged as the largest individually tracked market for the finale, recording 4.45 million viewers. Uttar Pradesh followed with 3.65 million viewers, while Delhi NCR contributed 2.34 million.

Karnataka recorded 1.82 million viewers and West Bengal 0.61 million. The ‘Others’ category accounted for 5.51 million viewers, indicating that the finale’s reach extended well beyond the individually tracked markets.

Mobile and CTV Drive Finale Consumption

The finale also recorded significant consumption across multiple device types. Mobile accounted for 7.87 million viewers, while Connected TV (CTV) contributed 4.68 million.

Meanwhile, 5.85 million viewers watched across both device types. The cross-device audience represented nearly a third of the finale’s total reach, pointing to sustained engagement among viewers consuming the show across screens.

According to Chrome DM COTT, the audience profile also provides an indication of the changing dynamics of reality entertainment, particularly the growing influence of digital creators among younger streaming audiences.

“The Lock Upp S2 finale drawing 18.40 Mn viewers is a strong close to a six-week run, but the more interesting story sits in who won. A digital creator outlasting established television names in a public vote — and by just seven votes — says something about where audience affinity is moving. Our demographic data supports that read: the F 18–24 cohort at 4.83 Mn is the single largest segment, and that is the audience most native to creator-led content. The cross-device overlap of 5.85 Mn, nearly a third of total reach, tells us these were invested viewers rather than casual finale samplers,” said Pankaj Krishna.

The finale’s 18.40 million unique viewers, coupled with its strong representation among young female audiences and significant cross-device consumption, underscores the growing role of digital-first talent and multi-screen viewing behaviour in India’s evolving OTT entertainment market.
