Lufthansa Group has appointed Felipe Bonifatti as Vice President for Asia Pacific and Joint Ventures East, effective November 1, 2024. Based in Singapore, Felipe will oversee all commercial activities, including Joint Venture sales, in the Asia Pacific region.
Felipe, a dual national of Argentina and Spain, began his aviation career in 1992 and has held various senior roles within Lufthansa Group across Latin America, Africa, and the Caribbean. He has a strong academic background, holding a bachelor’s degree and a law degree from the National University in Argentina, as well as a master’s degree in international relations from the University of Belgrano.
His notable achievements include serving as General Manager for Equatorial Guinea and Sao Tome and Principe, and later for Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru, where he received the Order of Alexander von Humboldt from the Colombian Parliament.
As the youngest executive in Latin America, Felipe also led Lufthansa Group’s expansion into Central America and the Caribbean, overseeing the introduction of multiple airlines, including Austrian Airlines, Eurowings, and Edelweiss. Most recently, he served as Senior Director for South America and the Caribbean from Sao Paulo, Brazil.
