The contribution of Indians in the technologically driven Global New Media is not only inspiring but also path-breaking. It is all about the right people in the right seats and the freedom to do what seems to be the best in the interest of the brand at any time.

Today there is a plethora of opportunities in this new media industry. The best way to begin is to identify your passion, apply your strength, and sharpen your skillset.

Content Creators:-

Ideation and creation of content is the responsibility of a content creator,to connect a brand to its prospective target audience. Content creation encapsulates copywriting, design, production, and other media that provide value and connectivity with the target audience. Content creators contribute to a variety of platforms such as social media, blogs, podcasts, video platforms, case studies, white papers, infographics, to mention a few. Your responsibilities will vary widely depending on where you work and who and where are your audience.

The secret spices for content creators being curiosity and re-mix strategy contribute a lot rather than just being viewed or liked. It is shared, circulated, and in addition, boosts the brand value as well. Nevertheless, it all begins with how successful the content creators approach the work they do. If you want your brand audience to stay with you throughout your posts, you need to add some refreshing elements to captivate their attention and also sustain it. However, creating quality content is not as hard as it actually seems to be.

Technical Architects:-

They are the ones who ensure the quality in the last mile reach. Interestingly the new media is driven by Business Intelligence and Algorithms. Business intelligence (BI) is a broad term that encompasses data mining, process analysis, performance benchmarking, and descriptive analytics. Examples of BI tools include data warehouses, dashboards, reports, data discovery tools, and cloud data services. BI refers to the procedural and technical infrastructure that collects, stores, and analyzes the data produced by a company’s activities.

Algorithms in social media platforms can be defined as technical means of sorting posts based on its relevance instead of the publish time, in order to prioritize which content a user is likely to view first. For example, the posts which are recommended to you when you scroll through your Instagram feed or the stories of your friends that appear first on the dashboard, are determined by algorithms. The R & D illuminates all the other verticals on the behavioral pattern of the target audience and the way to progress in the operations.

Producers:

The convergence of creativity and technical expertise also happens because new media essentially deals with multimedia. Creating these packages requires a lot of production skills. A creative producer’s job demands the 5 I’s-

Marketing:-                  

Digital marketing, also called online marketing, is the promotion of brands to connect with the potential customers using the internet and other forms of digital communication.

There are as many specializations within digital marketing as there are ways of interacting using digital media.

Search Engine Optimization or SEO is technically a marketing tool rather than a form of marketing. SEO is a major factor in content marketing, a strategy based on the distribution of relevant and valuable content to a target audience.

Social media marketing means driving traffic and brand awareness by engaging people in discussion online. The most popular platforms for social media marketing are Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, with LinkedIn and YouTube not far behind. Since social media marketing involves active audience participation, it has become a popular way of getting attention.

Pay-per-click or PPC, is posting an ad on a platform and paying every time someone clicks on it.

Affiliate marketing lets someone make money by promoting another person’s business. You could be either the promoter or the business that works with the promoter, but the process is the same in either case. It works using a revenue-sharing model. If you’re the affiliate, you get a commission every time someone consumes that which you promote.

Native advertising is marketing in disguise. Its goal is to blend in with its surrounding content so that it is less obvious than advertising.

Email marketing concept is simple; you send a promotional message, hoping that your prospect clicks on it. Email marketing is a proven, effective technique all on its own and the most effective lead generator.

The benefits of digital marketing vary from wide-ranging geographic reach, cost-effective, quantifiable results, easier personalization, wider connect with consumers, easy and convenient conversions.

In the New Normal, Digital marketing should be one of the primary focuses of almost any business’ overall marketing strategy. Never before has there been a way to stay in such consistent contact with customers;in fact nothing else offers the level of personalization that the digital data can provide. The more you embrace the possibilities of digital marketing, the more you’ll be able to realize your company’s growth potential.

Human Resources:-

Human resource professionals are increasingly becoming aware of the rapid changes which the new normal is bringing into the workplace. This is not only affecting the communication patterns but also affecting the rigid structures of the workplace and culture.

As per Microsoft’s report, 73% of the 30,000 workers surveyed want flexible remote work options to continue. Also, remote job postings on LinkedIn have increased over five times since the pandemic.

The way we think about a company culture is changing, now that remote working is the latest norm. To drive organizational success, the HR needs to understand and swiftly adapt to the emergingtrends. In order to succeed in today’s well-connected environment, the new normal offers a whole new paradigm within which the HR can engage the organizations’ members, investors, internal and external employees. The statutory teams like the finance & admin continue to be the guardians playing a pivotal operations role.

Ever since the pandemic has hit our doors, our lives have drastically changed. We now have to continuously update our skill set to be smartly shaped in our career in the post-pandemic world.
