Medianews4u.com has announced that it has roped in independent content consultant and marketing columnist Gokul Krishnamoorthy as Consulting Editor, with immediate effect.
Krishnamoorthy has been consulting with the group for the last few years on its IPs including the Medianews4u.com GameChangers awards. Since Goafest 2022, he has been involved in guiding the editorial coverage of the decade-old portal, which originally launched as TVNews4u.com.
In his advisory role as Consulting Editor, his responsibility will be to work with the teams to shape the editorial direction.
Medianews4u.com is part of Uplift Medianews4u Private Limited, which also has in its fold lifestyle and wellness portal LifeAndTrendz.com and OOH arm Magic Square Communications, among others.
“We have seen the portal evolve over the years and we feel the need now to do a level up after 10 years in this space. Gokul has been involved with us for over five years and I feel with his experience in the domain, he is the right person to guide us into the future,” said Vijay Vishwanath, Founder & CEO, Medianews4u.com.

In related editorial changes, Smitha Sapaliga, who has been with the Medianews4u.com team for around six months now, has been mandated with heading the Mumbai bureau. There will be more additions to the team in due course.

Over the last month I have also worked with the editorial team. I feel as an organisation, they are ready for some strategic shifts. In past assignments, he has served as Managing Editor of Campaign India and Editor of Campaign Middle East, journalist at The Hindu Business Line, Consulting Editor of TOP OF MIND (TOI Group), Founding Editor of Eventfaqs.com and Executive Editor of Impact (exchange4media Group).
He will continue to work with brands and media companies as independent consultant and contribute columns as an independent working journalist.
