OREO teams up with BTS for first-ever global snacking collaboration inspired by Korean street food

Mumbai, India, May 26, 2026: OREO has announced its first-ever global snacking partnership with globally celebrated K-pop group BTS, unveiling the Limited Edition OREO & BTS Cookies across more than 80 markets worldwide.

The collaboration introduces a Korean sweet pancake-inspired OREO cookie created by BTS, featuring a hotteok-inspired creme flavour and the brand’s first-ever purple wafers, paying tribute to BTS fans globally.

The partnership marks another step in OREO’s strategy to strengthen cultural relevance through global collaborations designed to drive consumer engagement and excitement in the competitive snacking category.

According to the company, the Limited Edition OREO & BTS Cookies combine flavours inspired by hotteok, a popular Korean street food sweet pancake, with the iconic OREO format. The collaboration also draws from BTS members’ childhood memories of consuming both hotteok and OREO cookies.

“For OREO to be the first snacking brand we’ve collaborated with globally is a huge honor. We ate them as kids, we eat them in the studio, and now OREO is helping us share a taste of home with the world,” said BTS.” We’re just so proud to add our own chapter to OREO’s amazing story.”

As part of BTS’s 13th anniversary celebrations, the limited-edition cookies feature 13 unique embossments designed by the group. The designs include member names, a BTS light stick, and special cookie messages dedicated to BTS fans.

The packaging design also draws inspiration from South Korea’s vibrant street market culture, reflecting the sights, sounds, and flavours associated with Korean food experiences.

The campaign extends beyond the product launch through a fan engagement initiative inspired by BTS’s letter-writing culture. Consumers can scan QR codes on the cookie packs or visit the campaign website to submit digital “love letters” to BTS, with selected entries potentially featured as part of a global activation.
