New York: Shubhranshu Singh, currently serving as the Global Chief Marketing Officer at Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles, has been appointed to the inaugural Board of Directors of the Effie LIONS Foundation, a newly formed 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in New York State.
The Effie LIONS Foundation was established following the acquisition of Effie Worldwide by Informa plc—owner of the Cannes Lions—as of January 2025. The foundation’s core mission is to educate and empower the next generation of marketing talent globally, with a particular emphasis on underrepresented communities.
Board members of the Effie LIONS Foundation serve as voting members with full authority and responsibility to ensure the organization’s long-term financial stability and integrity. The Board is uniquely structured to include voices from advertisers, global brands, media companies, academia, and non-profit organizations.
As a member of the Board of Directors, Shubhranshu will play a pivotal role in the foundation’s global strategy while bringing focused attention to the needs and opportunities within India and South Asia. The foundation has outlined three key areas where members like Shubhranshu will contribute:
- Have a voice in shaping the marketing industry’s future talent
- Help ensure that the marketing industry attracts the diverse talent needed for its future success
- Connect with other industry leaders who share a common mission
Shubhranshu’s extensive experience across global marketing, brand building, and strategic leadership makes him uniquely positioned to offer valuable insights as the foundation seeks to bridge access and equity gaps in the marketing industry.
As the regional representative for India and South Asia, Shubhranshu’s perspective will be “essential to shaping the programs,” especially those that target emerging markets and underserved talent pools.
The Effie LIONS Foundation Board is scheduled to meet twice annually—once in January (typically in New York or London) and again during the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity in June. In addition to his board role, Shubhranshu is also expected to serve on two of the Foundation’s board committees.
