Bengaluru: Umiya Buildcon Limited, a publicly listed dual-sector company, has announced the appointment of Prabhugouda Biradar as its new Chief Technology Officer. The move reinforces the company’s strategic focus on strengthening its Research & Development capabilities, deepening indigenous product engineering, and accelerating the development of India-designed Network OS and hardware systems under its Make in India commitment.
In his new role, Biradar will lead Umiya Buildcon’s technology direction across engineering, product development, and innovation. His mandate includes modernising the product development lifecycle, strengthening core engineering processes, and building a robust, future-ready technical organisation to support the expansion of the company’s telecom and networking portfolio.
A seasoned technology leader with over 30 years of experience across distributed systems, carrier-grade Network Operating Systems (IP Routing, MPLS-TE, IPv6, Security, SDN/NFV, 4G/5G) and AdTech platforms, Biradar has led the development of five generations of telecom Network OS and spearheaded mission-critical global deployments. He has previously held leadership roles at Philips, Cisco Systems and Huawei, where he served as Vice President for the Network Business Unit and AdTech. He has also mentored early-stage companies in Causal AI and AdTech, contributing to advancements in automation and platform intelligence.
