WPP and Universal Music Group partner to revolutionize music-driven brand engagement

Mumbai: WPP, the creative transformation company, and Universal Music Group (UMG), the world leader in music-based entertainment, have announced a groundbreaking strategic partnership aimed at providing innovative audience engagement solutions for brands through the power of music. This new collaboration will enable WPP clients to leverage UMG’s vast network of artists and labels, combined with its global data and insights, to craft compelling music-focused campaigns that resonate with audiences worldwide.

The partnership offers WPP clients unparalleled access to some of the world’s most popular artists and UMG’s iconic music catalog, unlocking new opportunities for amplification through data-driven and technological innovations. Additionally, WPP and UMG will explore the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) to help brands and artists forge deeper, more authentic connections and create memorable cultural moments.

The announcement builds upon the history of successful collaborations between WPP and Universal Music Group for Brands (UMGB), such as their ongoing partnership with The Coca-Cola Company. Notable past initiatives include the award-winning “Coke Studio” and “Sprite Limelight” music platforms, where a diverse array of artists helped amplify brand messaging, energize fan communities, and expand audiences globally.

By combining UMG’s musical expertise with WPP’s creative scale, the two companies aim to redefine how brands connect with audiences through the universal language of music.
