Mumbai: Zee Talkies introduced the first-ever, the one and only comedy awards of the industry – Zee Talkies Comedy Awards! Taking into consideration, the contribution of the comedy stars to the Marathi film fraternity, the 7th edition of ‘Zee Talkies Comedy Awards’ is all set to celebrate comedy and laughter with its viewers as Zee Talkies Comedy Awards is set for telecast at 12 noon and 7 PM on 1st of November 2020.
The nominations for the awards were recently declared and the excitement of who will bag these prestigious awards is on the rise. Films including ‘Ye Re Ye Re Paisa 2’, ‘Choricha Mamla’, ‘Takatak’, ‘Sweety Satarkar’, ‘Girlfriend’, and ‘Girls’ have secured the nominations in the film category.
Laughter the most common language of communication in the world just got better. The award for the best film was bagged by one of the most well-deserved nominations of the evening ‘Choricha Mamla’. Blowing people’s minds by putting pen to paper on his amazing humor and thoughts, the best writer was awarded to Upendra Sidhaye for ‘Girlfriend’. An extraordinary actor with the most amazing direction skills, Priyadarshan Jadhav got awarded the best director for his super hit film ‘Choricha Mamla’. The king of all hearts, Jitendra Joshi got awarded as the best actor for ‘Choricha Mamla’. The award for the best actress was divided in 2 for ‘Choricha Mamla’ & ‘Sweety Satarkar’ between the stunning Amruta Khanvilkar and Amruta Deshmukh. The best supporting actor was awarded to Prathamesh Parab for ‘Takatak’ and Kirti Pendharkar was awarded for the best-supporting actress for her exceptional performance in the film ‘Choricha Mamla’. In addition to these categories, the diva of the Marathi film fraternity, Saie Tamhankar was honored with the “Godrej Expert Rich Crème Hair Colour Most Natural Performance of the Year” award for her astonishing performance in the film ‘Girlfriend’.
