UB City and Radio Indigo announce exclusive partnership to launch 'UB City Radio - Powered by Radio Indigo'

Bengaluru: Shopping at your favorite mall just got a lot more fun! UB City, India’s first luxury mall and Radio Indigo, India’s first and longest running International radio station today announced their partnership with the launch of exclusive radio services (RAAS) at the mall. It is the first time that a private radio station will be engaged to play curated music at UB City, Bangalore’s most premium shopping destination.

RAAS or ‘Radio As A Service’ is a premium service offered by Radio Indigo to bring music and engaging content to music enthusiasts at premium locations across the country. The radio station had earlier launched radio services at airports in Chandigarh and Goa, entertaining travelers flying in and out of the airport. Further to the success of the airport radio, the radio station is now taking over premier shopping destinations, starting with UB City among many others.

With the objective of enhancing customers’ shopping experience, the mall radio will play music that is mood mapped to the time of the day. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Satyanaryana Murthy, CEO of Radio Indigo said, “Having launched Radio As A Service across airports in the country, we were keen to enhance shopper experiences too. Partnering with a premier shopping destination like UB City has brought us a step closer in this endeavor. We are excited to have UB City as the first shopping destination to avail of our services and are confident that shoppers will enjoy our handpicked international music.”

Speaking on the occasion, Uzma Irfan, Director Corporate Communications, Prestige Constructions said, “Being one of India’s first luxury and premier shopping destination, it was only apt for us to join hands with Radio Indigo, the best international music station in the country. We are committed to provide the best shopping experience and offering mall radio is an endeavour in that direction. We are happy to associate with Indigo in enhancing shoppers experience.”

Over the years, the radio station for a Fun Young Bangalore and Goa, has become an iconic part of the citys’ ethos, putting together exciting programs for listeners and revelers, bringing together some of the finest artists and musicians from across the globe who have helped make music an important part of the city’s culture. The offerings have always been expanded into unchartered horizons, leading and pioneering the way for some of the best content on radio.
