Netflix goes all out for Stranger Things Season 4

Netflix’s flagship science fiction horror drama, Stranger Things- Season 4 return on May 27 with part 1 (the first five episodes) and part 2 (the last 5 seasons) will debut in July.  The preview reports of the series suggest that Season-4 is a loud and chilling science fiction horror adventure that succeeds in entertaining the viewers despite its flaws. Created by the Duffer Brothers, Stranger Things stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, and more. Described as ‘the beginning of the end’ by the Duffer Brothers, Season 5 of the popular series has already been confirmed. Reportedly, each episode of the Season-4 series cost a whopping $30 million.

First launched in 2016, the series went on to become a cultural phenomenon within a short period of time. The previous seasons of Stranger Things are known for its brand partnerships. The series’ product placement and brand partnerships have become a case study in itself. The brands that were associated with the series previously include, Coca-Cola, Casio watches, Reebok, Adidas, Burger King, Chevrolet, and more.

Netflix has rolled out brand collaborations to garner viewers’ attention. This time the brand associations are immersive and interactive.  

Domino’s immersive app

Domino’s and Netflix collaborated to create a new app. The app takes the users through an immersive tour of the Hawkins Research Lab and they order pizza of their choice. Smartphone technology with facial recognition and eye-tracking is used here. The App users will require a Domino’s account and a saved favourite order to order a pizza.

MAC Cosmetics x Stranger Things 

The cosmetics brand MAC has launched a Stranger Things collection, which brings the show’s spooky and fun ’80s vibe to 2022. The limited-edition MAC X Stranger Things collection includes lip glosses, blush, brushes, and eyeshadow palettes. The products bear names inspired by characters and places in the Netflix show.

Doritos Concert

Doritos has partnered with Stranger Things to bring fans a musical experience- the first-ever ‘Live from The Upside Down’ virtual concert on June 23.  To be a part of the concert, Doritos will be the only option. The fans can pick up a bag of Doritos or Doritos 3D Crunch featuring the limited time Stranger Things packaging, or visit the Doritos website to reserve their tickets.

Skinny Butcher Vegan Nuggets

Skinny Butcher, which produces plant-based chicken alternatives, has launched Stranger Things-themed vegan nuggets.

Oreo

In India, OREO and Netflix have come together to celebrate the fandom around the upcoming Season of Stranger Things and have unveiled its limited-edition flavor, OREO Red Velvet, for Indian consumers.
