Humans of Bombay reinvents as full-stack digital media powerhouse; strengthens leadership

Mumbai: After establishing itself as India’s largest storytelling platform with over 6,500+ real-life stories shared and millions of lives touched, Humans of Bombay (HOB) is now stepping into a bold new phase as a full-stack digital media company.

With a thriving 7 million+ community, Humans of Bombay has always championed the transformative power of storytelling. Now, the brand is set to scale that impact with original IPs, bold partnerships, and immersive storytelling formats designed to shape the evolving narrative of a New India.

“Stories change people. And people change the world. We’re building storytelling ecosystems—formats and IPs designed to inspire, influence, and push India forward,” says Karishma Mehta, Founder & CEO, Humans of Bombay.

As part of this strategic transformation, Humans of Bombay has onboarded Amit Sobti as President. With over two decades of experience in building and scaling digital media businesses—including a 12-year tenure at Fork Media—Amit will oversee operations, revenue growth, and brand partnerships.

“This move just felt right,” says Amit Sobti, President, Humans of Bombay. “I’ve spent years building brands and businesses, but HOB is different. It’s honest. It’s human. And in a world full of noise, that really matters. I’m excited to help shape what comes next—thoughtfully, and with purpose.”

Joining alongside Amit is Jasleen Kaur Gupta, who takes charge as Vice President, Creatives & Delivery. A seasoned creative strategist with stints at Myntra, 120 Media Collective, and Fork Media, Jasleen will spearhead the development of innovative content and storytelling formats for both consumer audiences and brand partners.

“Much before joining HOB, I was a fan of their content. To now actually be here and have the opportunity to make an impact with life-changing storytelling and creative experiments is a chance to do what I do best. Build. Bigger, better and be disruptive,” says Jasleen Kaur.

This expansion marks a pivotal chapter in Humans of Bombay’s journey—from a storytelling platform to a culturally-driven media powerhouse. The company is doubling down on talent, scaling its team, and investing in high-impact content formats that foster deeper brand connections and long-term community value.

“At our core, we’ll always stand for real, empathy-driven stories. But the future we’re building is about going beyond content—into culture, influence, and impact at scale,” adds Karishma Mehta.
