New Delhi: Confiance Communications has been appointed as the Strategic Communications partner for Libertario Coffee India, a globally rooted specialty coffee brand expanding its footprint in the Indian market.
Founded in 2015, Libertario Coffee Co. & Roasters traces its origins to Colombia, backed by deep expertise across coffee production, exporting, and hospitality. The brand is closely associated with the globally acclaimed La Palma y El Tucán coffee farm, which supplies specialty coffee to buyers in over 30 countries. Over the years, Libertario has evolved into a consumer-facing café brand with a growing international presence, offering immersive, hospitality-led coffee experiences.
Since entering India in July 2025 under the leadership of Miguel Villaquirán, Founder and CEO of Libertario India, the brand has gained early traction through thoughtfully designed café spaces, curated coffee programs, and a blend of Colombian and locally sourced offerings.
Under the new mandate, Confiance Communications will work closely with Libertario to build a cohesive and differentiated brand narrative in India. The focus will be on strengthening visibility across business and lifestyle media while positioning the brand as both a premium café destination and a culturally relevant player in India’s evolving specialty coffee ecosystem.
The communications strategy will also highlight Libertario’s expansion plans across key cities, its founder-led vision, and the broader shift towards experience-led café formats. Additionally, efforts will be directed towards enhancing the brand’s presence within investor and startup communities through structured storytelling and strategic engagement.

Bushra Ismail, Founder & Chief Strategist, Confiance Communications, said, “Libertario brings together something that is still rare in India’s café ecosystem: a genuine integration of origin, craft, and hospitality. What stands out is not just the quality of coffee, but the intent to build a culturally immersive experience around it. Our focus will be on shaping this story in a way that resonates equally with consumers, media, and the broader business ecosystem.”

Miguel Villaquiran, Founder, Libertario India, added, “India represents a long-term opportunity for us to build something meaningful within the specialty coffee space. Our journey here is not just about introducing Colombian coffee, but about creating spaces that reflect craft, community, and global sensibilities. With Confiance, we are looking forward to building a narrative that captures both our heritage and our vision for India.”
As Libertario continues to expand its presence in Delhi NCR and beyond, the partnership aims to establish a strong, consistent, and differentiated voice in the Indian market, anchored in authenticity, global heritage, and evolving consumer experiences.
