Mumbai: Avendus, India’s institutional financial services firm, has announced the appointment of Gaurav Arora as Managing Director and Head of its Infrastructure & Real Assets Investment Banking business, strengthening its leadership team amid rising institutional interest and deal momentum across the sector.
In his new role, Arora will lead Avendus’ Infrastructure & Real Assets Investment Banking platform, focusing on expanding the firm’s advisory capabilities across a segment witnessing increasing capital inflows and structural transformation.
Arora joins Avendus with extensive experience in investment banking and deep expertise across infrastructure, energy, and industrial sectors. Most recently serving as Executive Director at UBS, he has also held senior positions at Deutsche Bank and Jefferies, where he spent nearly a decade building sector-focused teams and advising on major transactions.
His appointment comes at a time when India’s infrastructure and real assets ecosystem is experiencing heightened activity, supported by institutional investment, expanding capital markets participation, and the continued growth of asset monetisation vehicles including InvITs and REITs.

Arora is an alumnus of the Indian School of Business and holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics. He completed his undergraduate studies in Mathematics (Honours) from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University.
