Hyderabad: FUJIFILM India has announced the launch of its new CSR campaign, ‘Find It Early, Fight It Early’, aimed at raising awareness around breast cancer and the critical need for early detection. The campaign was inaugurated in the presence of Upasana Kamineni Konidela, Vice Chairperson of CSR, Apollo Hospitals, who joins as the Campaign Ambassador.
The campaign will be rolled out in 24 cities across India, with implementation led by the Apollo Foundation. It aims to engage over 1.5 lakh women through localized outreach that includes health risk assessments, educational workshops, and sensitization sessions carried out by trained community educators.
“As healthcare leaders, we have a responsibility to not only treat illness but to anticipate it through awareness, education, and access. Breast cancer continues to claim lives because too many women lack the information and resources needed to act early. This CSR initiative by FUJIFILM India reflects a deeper understanding of that reality. Our support is grounded in a shared commitment, to take meaningful action where it matters most and ensure that awareness reaches the women who need it before it’s too late,” said Upasana Kamineni Konidela.
Breast cancer accounts for approximately 14% of all cancers among Indian women, with 1 in 29 women at risk during their lifetime, as per the ICMR’s National Cancer Registry Program. The campaign addresses barriers such as social stigma, lack of awareness, and limited access to medical care — all of which contribute to late-stage diagnoses.
“At FUJIFILM India, we are committed to delivering innovative products and solutions that embody our Group purpose of ‘Giving Our World More Smiles.’ By blending diverse ideas, unique capabilities, and extraordinary people, we aim to create solutions that bring joy and smiles to the world. With ‘Find It Early, Fight It Early,’ breast cancer awareness CSR Campaign, we aim to extend the reach of breast cancer awareness and are committed to advancing early diagnosis so that many lives can be saved,” said Koji Wada, Managing Director, FUJIFILM India.
The campaign forms part of FUJIFILM’s broader Sustainable Value Plan 2030, which emphasizes health equity and inclusive healthcare. By reaching underserved communities with timely, respectful, and culturally relevant information, ‘Find It Early, Fight It Early’ aims to empower women across India to take control of their health through awareness and early intervention.
