Giffy Fruit and Vegetable wash encourages ‘clean eating’ in new campaign
Share Share ShareShare

Bangalore: Giffy Fruit and Vegetable wash, one of the recent brand launches of Wipro Consumer Care and Lighting, has launched an ad campaign that highlights the need for thoroughly deep cleaning fruits and vegetables bought from the market to kill any germs or harmful contaminants.

The pandemic has spurred an intrinsic need for consumers to adopt safety precautions in every aspect of their daily life. Yet, very little information or products are available for ensuring fruits and vegetables bought from the market are washed hygienically.

Khatarnak germs ki asardar safai by Giffy Fruit and Vegetable Wash aims to educate consumers that every time we bring home fruits and vegetables, we also bring home germs and plain water may not be enough to wash them off. Only a stronger but natural formulation that effectively cleanses germs from the surface can keep food clean and safe for consumption.

The TVC revolves around a lady who comes home after purchasing some fruits and vegetables from a busy market, worried that washing her vegetables with water is not enough to ensure its safety. Giffy Fruit & Vegetable wash has a unique formulation with natural ingredients of salt and vinegar that removes germs, wax, pesticides and dirt. This formulation is free of sulphates, harmful preservatives, synthetic colour and fragrance.

Commenting on the new campaign, S Prasanna Rai, Vice-President, Marketing, Wipro Consumer Care and Lighting, said, “We are surrounded by germs and harmful contaminants and there is an increasing need for natural solutions to facilitate better life. Today, eating clean and keeping our loved ones safe is an imperative. The current environment has led to a further acceleration on the need for all-round protection and personal care. Wipro Consumer Care has always been cognizant of the evolving consumer preferences and with Giffy Fruit and Vegetable wash, we are only raising the bar to meet consumer needs, one product at a time.”

The campaign has been released across television and digital media platforms.

Talking of the thinking behind the film, Sagar Mahabaleshwarkar, Chief Creative Officer of Contract Advertising said, “Now more than ever before, germs and contaminants in food is a serious issue. But we didn’t want to leave the consumer with a feeling of fear, rather with the awareness that the fruits and vegetables we bring home and eat can be carriers of germs, and most importantly, the knowledge that it’s easy to be safe with Giffy Fruit & Vegetable Wash.”
