Former EVP & Head of Original Content of Disney+ Hotstar, Nikhil Madhok, will join Amazon Prime Video as Head of Hindi original content, as per media reports. According to media reports, Madhok will take over the new role early next week.
During his 4 plus years stint with he led the conception and launch of Hotstar’s foray into original content titled Hotstar Specials. He was responsible for the entire slate of Specials from content strategy, ideation, curation, script development, production and launch.
Prior to that he held the position of Head of Products Asia Pacific at Discovery Inc. He has worked in various leadership roles at Star India including Vice President, Network Marketing, Business Head. Madhok has worked with Turner Broadcasting System and Unilever.
