Thiruvananthapuram: Muthoot FinCorp Ltd., the flagship financial services company of the Muthoot Pappachan Group (Muthoot Blue), has appointed Manoj Kumar Mauni as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO), as the company continues to strengthen its technology capabilities to support business growth, innovation and customer experience.
The appointment comes as Muthoot FinCorp accelerates the transformation of its technology landscape and enhances operational excellence across its network of more than 3,800 branches and its digital platform, Muthoot FinCorp ONE.
Mauni brings over three decades of professional experience, including more than 25 years in the banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) sector and over 15 years in executive leadership roles. He has led large-scale digital transformation initiatives spanning technology strategy, cybersecurity, cloud transformation, core banking modernisation, enterprise architecture, enterprise risk and fraud management, innovation, and large-scale programme delivery.
At Muthoot FinCorp, he will lead the company’s technology strategy and oversee the development of a future-ready technology architecture aligned with its long-term business objectives. His mandate includes strengthening digital capabilities, modernising enterprise platforms, enhancing cybersecurity, and leveraging technology to improve customer experience, operational efficiency and innovation across the organisation.

Before joining Muthoot FinCorp, Mauni served as Chief Information Officer (Telecom) at Bharti Airtel. He has also held the position of Chief Technology Officer at Bandhan Bank and served in leadership roles at Kotak Mahindra Bank and Kotak Life Insurance, where he drove large-scale digital transformation initiatives across core banking, cloud, cybersecurity and enterprise platforms.
An engineering graduate from BITS Pilani with a Master’s in Financial Management from JBIMS, Mumbai, Mauni has been recognised among India’s Top 30 CTOs and is the recipient of several industry awards.
