The Leela Palace Chennai showcases Indian Heritage in new film with Amaan and Ayaan Ali Bangash

Chennai: The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts has launched a captivating new brand film that honours the essence of legacy—both in music and in spirit. Set against the timeless grandeur of The Leela Palace Chennai, the cinematic piece features acclaimed sarod virtuosos Amaan Ali Bangash and Ayaan Ali Bangash, blending heritage, artistry, and Indian luxury in an evocative visual narrative.

The film journeys through the palace’s intricate architecture and serene spaces, reflecting the values of respect, refinement, and continuity. From intimate rehearsals in the courtyard to shared meals at the signature restaurant Jamavar, the vignettes echo the Leela philosophy—where tradition meets modernity in perfect harmony.

“This was not just a film. It felt like a homecoming,” said Ayaan Ali Bangash.

“The Leela Palace Chennai reminded us of the spaces we grew up in—filled with warmth, rigour and reverence. Everything from the welcome to the architecture carried a certain discipline… a grace.” Amaan Ali Bangash added, “The act of arriving and being received with such intention… it resonates with the way we approach our music. Every note, every gesture must have meaning. The Leela understands that.”

“At The Leela, we have always believed that true luxury is not static—it lives, it evolves, and it draws its strength from legacy,” said Anjali Mehra, Executive Vice President – Brand and Communications, The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts. “This film is a tribute to that very idea. Amaan and Ayaan bring not just their music, but their philosophy of life into our space. And what emerges is a deeply Indian story—quiet, powerful, and timeless.”

Part of The Leela’s ongoing cultural storytelling initiatives, the film celebrates India’s rich heritage and will be showcased across the brand’s digital platforms. It will also reach audiences in India, the United States, the United Kingdom, the GCC, and Russia, with a series of shorter edits promoted via paid media and social channels to amplify engagement.
