Mumbai: CMS Info Systems Limited, a business services company offering banking logistics and technology service, has appointed Sunil Mehta, former Chief Executive of the Indian Bank’s Association (IBA) and former MD & CEO of Punjab National Bank, as Additional Director (Independent), effective 6th December 2024.
With over four decades of experience in the banking industry, Mehta has been instrumental in shaping India’s banking sector through policy advocacy and strategic collaboration. As the Chief Executive of IBA, he was known as the “Voice of the Indian Banking Industry” and led Punjab National Bank as MD & CEO, overseeing operations across international banking, housing finance, life insurance, and more.
Currently, Mehta holds key positions including Chairman of PSB Alliance Pvt. Ltd., and Independent Director at Jio Financial Services, Jio Payments Bank, and Juniper Hotels. He has also served as Chairman of NARCL and continues to play an influential role in the Indian financial sector. He was a member of the RBI Committee for establishing 75 Digital Banking Units (DBUs).
A Master’s degree holder in Agronomy and an MBA in Finance, Mehta is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB) and actively contributes to various industry committees, including those of RBI, CII, FICCI, IIBF, and the Ministry of Steel’s Taskforce on Green Finance.
