Singapore: Meta has announced a significant leadership transition in its Asia Pacific operations, marking a new chapter of growth and innovation across the region. Benjamin Joe, a 14-year Meta veteran, will take over as the new Regional Vice President for Asia Pacific starting July 2025. He succeeds Dan Neary, who will be departing the company in the coming months after a successful tenure at the helm of Meta’s APAC business.
Joe, who currently leads Meta’s operations in Southeast Asia, brings a wealth of experience and deep regional understanding to the role. Since joining Meta in 2011, he has held key leadership positions, including Country Director for Korea and roles in new business development within the Growth team at Meta’s U.S. headquarters. Prior to Meta, Joe worked at McKinsey & Company and IBM.
In a LinkedIn post, Joe expressed his excitement about the new role, stating: “The APAC region is vibrant, diverse, and full of opportunities. I’m committed to driving innovation and transformative growth for our clients and partners alongside Meta’s talented teams.” He also acknowledged the support of senior leaders Nicola Mendelsohn and Dan Neary, and looked ahead to leading initiatives at the intersection of AI and innovation.
Dan Neary, the outgoing Regional Vice President, praised Joe’s leadership capabilities and regional expertise:
“Ben’s deep understanding of our company and region as well as his ability to build high-performing teams and help businesses grow will serve him well in his new role.”
In a parallel development, Sandhya Devanathan, Vice President for Meta India, will expand her portfolio to include leadership of Meta’s Southeast Asia operations in addition to her current responsibilities. Devanathan welcomed the transition, expressing confidence in Joe’s leadership while reaffirming Meta’s focus on delivering value to partners and clients. “What remains a constant is our unwavering focus on serving our partners and continuing to invest in products to help drive growth,” she said in a LinkedIn post.
With these leadership changes, Meta is positioning itself to further strengthen its presence across key APAC markets. Both Joe and Devanathan are seen as transformational leaders with a strong track record of driving business success, innovation, and regional growth.
As Meta deepens its focus on AI, digital infrastructure, and scalable platforms, this strategic leadership alignment signals renewed energy in one of the company’s most dynamic growth regions.
